Orange Garden is a one-of-one hand-burned suede trucker cap in a color that refuses to be quiet. Vibrant orange from the crown to the brim, with a matching orange mesh back that lets the light through.
The front tells a whole scene: sunflowers on the left panel, more sunflowers reaching down onto the brim, and a dragonfly in flight across the right side. Every line was burned by hand — no stencils, no shortcuts.
The beaded chain wrapping the crown was made by hand specifically for this hat. Terracotta stone beads, orange coral accents, and a small gold rose charm as a signature detail.
One of one. No two of these exist. When it's gone, it's gone.
The making of
4 hours in the studio. Slow, patient work. Each sunflower petal shaded to give it dimension. The dragonfly's wings burned line by line — the delicate veining you see in the close-up took the longest.
One design choice worth naming: no dark outline "collar" around the flowers. I let the orange breathe through the burned areas instead of framing them in black. It's a different feeling than heavier outlined work — softer, more painterly, more alive.
The beaded chain came last. Hand-strung with beads chosen specifically for this hat's palette — terracotta, coral, and that one tiny gold rose that pulls the whole thing together.
The dragonfly
The dragonfly here is joy. Not a symbol of anything heavy — just the feeling of a summer garden coming alive. Sunflowers standing tall in the sun, and a dragonfly hovering above them like it belongs there.
Some things are beautiful because they're beautiful. This is one of those.
